Country Haven is pleased to have been chosen by New Brunswick Provincial Tourism as the fishing location for filming the Travel Planner, Television Commercials and Tourism Web Site for the 2007 Campaign.
(Note: The following Day Adventures can be enjoyed by everyone staying at Country Haven or vacationers just visiting NB for the day who would like to enjoy some outdoor activities!)

Country Haven Miramichi is a Licensed 4 Star full-fledged Outfitter and one of the Premier locations on the Miramichi for Atlantic Salmon Fly Fishing. Due to our being close to the sea and our excellent location on the river, there is ample opportunity for catching salmon throughout all of the fishing season. This has helped in making our fishing day adventures so successful for so many years. 2008 will be our 10th anniversary of offering these special day fishing packages in conjunction with New Brunswick Tourism, making Country Haven the longest running Day Adventure provider in the Province.

This is our ninth season offering this day adventure in conjunction with New Brunswick Tourism. It has become one of the most popular day adventures in all of New Brunswick with guests returning year after year to participate. This adventure is a full day of canoeing on the most productive summer fishing stretch of water on the Main Southwest Miramichi river. You start your adventure at Country Haven Lodge with stops to fish for Atlantic Salmon along the way. You will be visiting some of the best fishing pools the Miramichi River has to offer. With the same guides doing this trip almost daily for so many years they now know these waters like the back of their hand. Throughout the day you will travel 8 miles of the lower Miramichi river's natural beauty and will fish in 4 to 7 fishing pools along the way.
