Country Haven Lodge is located on the bank of the Main Southwest Miramichi River. With the region's annual snowfall of about 400 cm and our approximate 100 acres of private land, it makes for a number of enjoyable winter activities to choose from. The Miramichi has 600 km of groomed trails with New Brunswick having a total of 9000 km. With one of the NB trails running through our property it makes for easy access from the lodge to all of NB.
The Miramichi is known as the hub of NB snowmobiling.
we are ideally located in central New Brunswick and only minutes from trail # 42 near Blackville which runs from Fredericton to Miramichi City. We are in a great location to use as a home base for snowmobiling as you can travel to different parts of the province each day or enjoy a great one-night stopover, in your own private cottage, while snowmobiling through the Province. We offer snowshoeing, cross country sking, sliding, and even skating on a frozen pond located on our property, that is kept maintained for our winter guests.
We are just minutes away from a sleigh ride where you can enjoy a peaceful 3 hour glide through the snowy woods, to a log cabin for hot refreshments. We are also located within 10 minutes of the Pine Strip Sky Trail that offers many kilometers of groomed trails, and only 20 Minutes from the famous Miramichi Cross Country Ski Club where the wood fire is always burning in the club house. This 25 kilometer network of well-maintained and dedicated ski trails are groomed for both "classic" (diagonal stride) and
"freestyle"(skate skiing)skiing styles and are considered to be amongst the best in Atlantic Canada. Rental Skis are available and are free for children 5 and under.
After a fun filled day in the snow, you can snuggle by a cozy fire, have a game of pool or use the exercise equipment in our rec room.
