Welcome to "your home away from home". COUNTRY HAVEN LODGE AND COTTAGES
are located on a 100 acres of private land on the bank of the world
famous Miramichi River. We offer you your choice of accommodation
while on the miramichi. We are located approximately two miles from
the Village of Blackville and 20 miles from the City of Miramichi.
While staying at Country Haven, our experienced guides and staff will
ensure your experience is one to remember for years to come.
The Lodge!
The lodge has been placed in a (FOUR STAR) rating category by
( CANADA SELECT) the accommodation rating program in Canada.
We share the top spot in New Brunswick with only five other locations.
The 4000 sq ft log lodge consists of five bedrooms, 3 bathrooms,and a modern kitchen and dining area. The livingroom is spacious, with its cathedral ceiling and large windows offering a spectacular view
of the river. Just sit back and watch the salmon jumping and rolling or let a gorgeous sunset complete your day. At the lodge we offer Satellite TV and Internet access.
Enjoy fishing and catching the world famous Atlantic Salmon, trout or shad.
Spend the day fishing or touring. In the evening, relax on the front patio,
watching the beavers play along the brook that runs through the land,
view a family of ducks paddling by, or, with a bit of luck, catch a
glimpse of the Bald Eagles that, each year, return to the
large pine tree in front of the lodge. Enjoy a game of pool or use the
exercise equipment in the recreation room.
Your stay at the lodge is an all-inclusive package with daily maid service and 3 full home cooked meals daily.
Eastern Canada is known for hardy cooked meals and sea food, so our salmon and fiddle head special is second-to-none.
Three Bedroom Cottage!
Our newly constructed private cottages consist of two bedrooms, 4 beds and a bathroom, or three bedrooms with 6 beds and 1½ bathrooms, comfortable living rooms and well equipped kitchens and dining areas. Each cottage is supplied with bedding, towels, cooking utensils and dishes, and a deck with barbeque overlooking the beautiful Miramichi River. While staying at either of our cottages you can have your choice of our all-inclusive packages including meals at the main lodge or enjoy the privacy of a self-catered cottage and prepare your own meals just the way you like them.
Two Bedroom Cottage...
At Country Haven, our lodge and cottages offer Satellite TV service, DVD and free Internet Access. We also offer a good selection of fly fishing equipment including rods, waders and flies, that can be used by our guests. We are also located just minutes from local fly shop dealers that are the best in the industry when it comes to fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon.
While staying at one of our cottages, you can take one of our guided day adventure packages, or for those that would like to
venture out on their own, we provide canoes, kayaks,and shuttle service rentals.
A nature trail is located on the grounds joining the New Brunswick provincial trails and is great for hiking. If golfing interests you we are located within 30 minutes drive from the famous Miramichi Golf and Country Club, or the Old Mill Pond Golf and Country Club in Doaktown.
For winter lovers who enjoy winter hikes, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, skating, sliding, sleigh rides or snowmobiling stop-over's, our cottages offer the comfort you would expect from a 4-star operation.
